EU knowledge MCQ · AD5, AST3, AD6 and AST2 internal competitions
Thirty questions, forward-only, one minute each. Practise in that exact format, on questions built from official EU texts, each one dated against your competition’s cut-off and shown with the sentence it comes from.
Ten questions free, no card. Then 8 full mocks, 396 checked questions and the Fact Guide for €49. One payment, nothing renews.
For how long does the European Council elect its President?
As on the real test, Next stays locked until you choose.
No penalty for a wrong answer, so every question gets one. Passing is the floor: only the top-ranked MCQ scores, up to two and a half times the number of places, have their written test marked. For AD5’s 100 places that is about 250 candidates.
One question per screen, four options, no going back, and Next stays locked until you choose. AD timing or AST timing. The same discipline you will need on the day, rehearsed until it is automatic.
Every key rests on a quoted sentence from an official EU text: a Treaty article, the Commission's Rules of Procedure, a regulation, a Commission communication. You see the sentence, the document and its date after every answer.
The test only uses publications from before your competition's application period opened. Every question is checked against that date, so you never learn a fact the examiners cannot ask.
15/30 passes, but only the top scorers, up to two and a half times the number of places, have their written test marked. Drills target the areas and the “which is NOT” format where points are lost.
Sit the free taster first, with no payment details. If it is worth it to you, one payment opens every mock, the drills and the Fact Guide, retaken as often as you like.

The Commission names four areas: the EU's institutional set-up; the Commission's roles and powers under the Treaties; the Commission's governance, decision-making and procedures; and the Commission's policy priorities. Every question rests on publicly available official EU sources.
Only publications released before the start of your competition's application period. For AD5 (COM/AD/108/2026) that is 29 May 2026. Every question here carries its source's date and is checked against that cut-off.
No. The knowledge test and its content belong to the European Commission; in 2026 it is delivered on an online testing platform run by SHL. This site prepares you for the Commission's test and has no connection to the Commission, EPSO or SHL.
The AST papers allow 40 minutes for the same 30 questions, against 30 minutes at AD grades. Choose your timing before each mock.
The written test is sat the same day, and it is only marked if your MCQ score ranks high enough. Concours Coach coaches the written test and the oral; see concourscoach.com.
A private one. EPSO advises staff not to use their .europa.eu address for competition matters, and preparation is a private activity.
No. One payment buys a fixed period of access and then it simply ends. Nothing renews, and you are never charged again unless you choose to buy again.
